Sarasota County provides tax-exempt financing through its Industrial Revenue Bonds (IRB) program to qualified businesses within the county.  Financing must be used for the acquisition or improvement of capital assets, for example, the purchase of land, buildings or production machinery and equipment, as well as for construction or renovation of buildings and may be available for the refinancing of existing taxable or non-taxable debt in certain cases.
